Just finished watching "The Interstellar Song Contest"...
* It was another pretty good one, but I'm not finding a lot to say about it.
* I really, deeply do not _get_ Eurovision. Like, I'm glad y'all are having fun, go for it, but I have absolutely no interest in it myself. I think I'm just too American, and Eurovision is so very Not American. Which is a good thing, there _should_ be things in this world that are Not About Us. But my personal reaction to the whole thing is just ... okay, but _what_.
* The last few minutes of the episode, though. I have some _questions_, Rusty.
* First of all, don't you know that it's _never_ Susan. _Or_ the Rani.
* Second, bi-generation should have remained an exceptional one-off event. Repeating it, especially repeating it so soon and for no good reason, cheapens it and retroactively makes "The Giggle" less fun.
* Third, absolutely _nothing_ we've seen so far suggested that she was the Rani. The next couple of episodes really have a lot of work to do to convince me that she's the same person we met back in 1985. Can they pull it off? Well, the show _did_ manage to make it work with Missy, who I was equally skeptical of at this stage, so maybe? I hope so?
